Ipso Technologies automates the creation of manufacturing drawings using Solidworks

Press Release – Vaudreuil-Dorion, March 2010 – In collaboration with SolidXperts, Ipso Technologies pushes forward the limits of its parametric configurator inside the Solidworks user interface and automatically generates sets of drawings ready for production, significantly reducing time to production.

It’s the first time in Québec that an ERP software can directly control CAD/CAM software to automatically generate dozens of drawings without human intervention.  This innovation was made possible thanks to the powerful product configurator integrated in Ipso-Facto, the ERP Software developed by Ipso Technologies.  The configurator is unique and allows complex calculations and necessary logical rules to automatically produce drawings.

The product configurators of the first generation were much simpler, and served to create a bill of material (BOM) from the options of the basic model.  The second generation of configurators included labor and routing, making the configurator specialized for industries like manufacturing, machining, and sub-contracting.

Ipso Technologies product configurator is unique in filling the gap between the ERP and product design.  With drawing automation, Ipso-Facto provides significant gain by reducing design time and « Release to production ».

With this innovative approach in ERP, Ipso Technologies maintains its leadership in the make to order Engineering and make to order ERP software solutions.
